SOC 2 Compliance
SOC 2 compliance is a voluntary framework developed by the AICPA that dictates how service organizations (like SaaS providers) should manage and protect customer data. It evaluates an organization’s internal controls across five Trust Services Criteria: Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy.
The examination evaluated the design and implementation of SWI’s controls as of a specified date against the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Trust Services Criteria for Security, Availability, and Confidentiality.
This milestone demonstrates SWI’s commitment to protecting customer information through established safeguards such as access controls, encryption, system monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, employee security training, vendor oversight, and business continuity practices.
The SOC 2 Type 1 report provides customers and partners with independent assurance that SWI has designed and implemented controls intended to protect sensitive information, support the availability of its systems, and manage security risks. SWI will continue strengthening its security and compliance program as it works toward a SOC 2 Type 2 examination, which will assess the operating effectiveness of these controls over a defined period.”
